About the role
Location: Remote
We are looking for a creative, and strategic storyteller to join our in-house creative team. This role is perfect for a writer who can craft persuasive, engaging, and impactful content across multiple platforms, helping us connect with our audience in meaningful ways.

As a Copywriter, you will develop brand messaging, copy, and campaign narratives that drive engagement and customer action. You will work closely with designers, art directors, motion graphic designers, strategists and product teams to create high-quality copy that reflects Moniepoint’s brand identity, personality & tone.

This role requires someone who is able to develop big idea copies while also writing clear, concise, and compelling copy for digital, print, TV, OOH and social media platforms.

What you’ll get to do

• Craft engaging, persuasive, and conversion-driven copy for brand and product messaging.
• Ensure all content aligns with Moniepoint’s tone of voice, audience insights, and brand guidelines.
• Conceptualize and write copy for digital ads, social media, and video scripts.
• Develop storytelling frameworks that enhance brand campaigns and promotional content.
• Collaborate with designers and art directors to pair copy with strong visuals.
• Collaborate with strategists to ensure copy aligns with creative strategy.
• Create attention-grabbing social media posts, captions, and short-form content.
• Develop storytelling strategies for social media engagement and audience growth.
• Stay updated on trending topics, cultural moments, and fintech industry news to craft relevant copy.

To succeed in this role, we think you should have

• 3-5+ years of experience in copywriting or brand storytelling.
• A strong portfolio showcasing creative and strategic writing across various formats.
• Ability to write for different audiences, tones, and platforms (digital, print, video, product).
• Experience developing brand messaging, campaign copy, and social media content.
• Understanding of audience engagement, and storytelling techniques.
• Ability to collaborate with designers, and creative team to execute ideas.
• Strong editing and proofreading skills with attention to grammar, clarity, and brand consistency.
• Experience working in fintech, banking, or financial services is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices and digital content strategy is considered a plus.
• Familiarity with performance marketing and A/B testing for ad copy optimization is an added advantage.

1. Application & portfolio review: we review the quality of your writing in your portfolio
2. Preliminary phone call with HR: a brief conversation where your expectations are discussed, background, growth potential, career outlook, personality and cultural fit is accessed.
3. Assessment: a take-home assessment to evaluate strategic writing skill set and technical depth
4. Final executive conversation: an interview with the Creative Director, where you will present the assessment. You will also be assessed on alignment with our values and principles.
