Full-Time Copywriter

At MissionWired, we help partners create fundraising strategies for nonprofits and Democratic organizations. Our results include over $3.1B in donations to trusted philanthropies and campaigns.

We are seeking a talented copywriter to produce nuanced and compelling copy to achieve client goals. You'll work with client teams to develop creative strategies and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities:

• Develop compelling creative strategies for nonprofits, political figures, and campaigns.
• Manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
• Write direct mail copy to drive donations, engagement, list growth, and cultivation.
• Ensure copy aligns with the organization's voice and audience needs.
• Contribute to client meetings, present creative work internally, and offer innovative solutions.
• Create copy that follows client brand guidelines and cites sources.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of writing experience in fundraising, advocacy, or political fields.
• Proficiency in writing for various mediums (print, email, digital ads).
• Detail-oriented, strong proofreading and research skills.
• Understanding of effective writing and the thought process behind the words.
• Ability to adapt to different skillsets and handle multiple tasks.
• Collaborative, solutions-focused, and comfortable receiving feedback.
• Strong multitasking skills and adaptable to shifting priorities in a rapid environment.
• Ability to adapt writing to specific voice, style, and format.
• Creative thinking and independent work with minimal oversight.
• Passion for making a positive impact.

Nice to Have:

• Experience optimizing written material based on metrics.
• Background in political campaigns.

Salary: $64,000 - $73,000 per year.
