We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Daily Worker - Commis to join our culinary team in the vibrant culinary scene of Ubud, Indonesia.

As a Commis, you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations and contributing to the creation of exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

1. Assist in food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients
2. Follow recipes and cooking instructions under the guidance of senior kitchen staff
3. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
4. Assist in the proper storage and labeling of food items
5. Help with basic cooking tasks and plating of dishes
6. Operate and maintain kitchen equipment and tools
7. Collaborate effectively with kitchen team members to ensure smooth operations during service
8. Assist in inventory management and restocking of supplies
9. Participate in kitchen cleaning and sanitation procedures
10. Support senior chefs in menu preparation and special culinary projects as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Food handling certification preferred
• Basic culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
• Ability to use standard kitchen equipment and tools
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Basic English language skills
• Previous kitchen experience is preferred but not required for entry-level candidates
