Role Summary:
The Data Coordinator manages Student Information System (SIS), CALPADS, and attendance tasks, including creating reports and maintaining student data for clients. The position collaborates with clients to ensure accurate data gathering and reporting. This position reports to the Student Data Manager and requires an upbeat, customer-service-oriented professional.
Responsibilities:
- Provide student information and attendance technical support to clients.
- Train clients’ staff on leveraging their SIS for state reporting.
- Integrate 3rd party student and instructional data systems with the SIS.
- Troubleshoot system problems.
- Assist in codifying procedures and system configuration settings.
- Streamline processes and systems and evaluate efficient solutions.
- Expand automation to improve system stability and data collection.
- Data validation of attendance and state reporting information.
- Support data gathering and submitting attendance and state reporting records.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is a plus.
- Two (2) years of data management experience with data reconciliation, quality control, and field mapping.
- Knowledge of Student Information Systems (PowerSchool, Aeries, etc.), attendance administration, and CALPADS.
- Knowledge of Java Script, Java, and SQL programming a plus.
- Familiar with system analysis and process improvement.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, with advanced Excel knowledge.
- Strong English grammar and communication skills.
- Passion for improving urban public education.

- Strong interpersonal skills for client relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
