Role Overview
Wecheer is seeking a skilled Data Engineering Lead to manage data engineering initiatives and a small team of analysts. This role focuses on developing data infrastructure, aligning data strategy, and delivering insights that drive business success. You'll collaborate closely with the CTO and stakeholders to design, implement, and maintain data pipelines, processes, and systems.
Key Responsibilities
📊 Strategy & Leadership
- Define and execute a data strategy aligned with business goals.
- Lead and mentor the data analysts team, ensuring data consistency and availability.
- Oversee data pipeline development and maintenance for internal and external projects.
- Implement data governance policies for compliance and optimal data use.
🛠️ Data Architecture
- Design scalable data architectures for storage, retrieval, and integration.
- Manage ETL processes for large datasets, ensuring data consistency and accessibility.
- Collaborate to transition data from raw sources to analytics-ready models.
- Optimize workflows and automate data processing.
📈 Technical Leadership
- Develop dashboards and reporting tools for real-time insights.
- Establish KPIs to track business metrics such as CLTV and retention.
- Guide teams on using data tools and interpreting insights effectively.
- Stay updated on data engineering trends and best practices.
🤝 Collaboration
- Act as the main contact for data-related matters across departments.
- Work with teams and clients to deliver tailored data solutions.
- Present data-driven insights to senior management for decision-making.
Qualifications
🎓 Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
📅 Experience
- 7+ years in data engineering, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Expertise in data warehousing (AWS RDS, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server).
- Experience in ETL and data integration projects.
🧑💻 Technical Skills
- Skilled in ETL, data modeling, and data warehousing (e.g., Twilio Segment, Salesforce Data Cloud, Blueshift, Snowflake).
- Proficient with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Knowledge of cloud architecture (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Programming skills (Python, SQL, JavaScript).
