The role we're looking for a Data Scientist to join our growing team and contribute to the design of Polaris, our AI-driven marketing platform. Polaris helps businesses drive impactful results across media, creative, measurement, and audience through advanced AI built for expert marketers and clients to use directly.
In this role, you'll work collaboratively with product management, engineering, and data science to design intuitive, elegant solutions that make sophisticated AI capabilities accessible and effective for our users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working closely with Product Development to identify high-impact business problems solvable by data science and machine learning.
- Building always-on solutions to optimize ad spend on digital platforms.
- Developing multi-agent and hierarchical systems to improve client marketing performance.
- Conducting incrementality tests and building Media-Mix Models (MMMs).
- Maintaining data science and machine learning workflows by fixing bugs or improving model performance.
- Articulating complex technical results and methods to stakeholders.
- Occasionally joining client meetings to understand data problems and propose solutions.
- Designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models and statistical analyses.
- Building and maintaining front-end applications or dashboards to visualize model outputs.
- Collaborating with back-end engineers to integrate APIs and ensure data flow.
- Creating interactive user interfaces (UIs) that effectively communicate insights.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, or related quantitative discipline.
- M.S. + 2 years experience or B.S. + 4 years relevant experience.
- Strong programming skills in R, Python, and SQL.
- Work experience in digital advertising or MarTech.
- Demonstrable successes in delivering data-driven products.
- Deep understanding of statistical modeling and machine learning.
- Experience solving complex optimization problems (preferably with reinforcement learning).
- Strong working knowledge with large data sets (preferably in digital marketing).
- Experience with cloud OLAP database platforms like BigQuery and Snowflake.
- Strong communication skills (technical and non-technical).
- Ability to work beyond familiar algorithms.
- Sincere interest in working toward the data-driven future of digital marketing.
Compensation:
$117,500 - $132,500 per year
