Data Scientist - Contract Opportunity - Onsite in Menlo Park, CA
About this Position
The Data Scientist will be responsible for coordinating database changes, testing, and implementation, applying database management system knowledge.
Collaborate with growth marketers, program managers, and the central analytics team to collect data and metrics requirements.
Focus on creating automated reporting, dashboards, and ongoing analysis to enable data-driven decisions across teams.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with growth marketers, program managers, and central analytics teams to gather data and metrics requirements.
- Design, build, and maintain automated reporting and dashboards to enable data-driven decisions (e.g., using Tableau).
- Build and optimize ETL processes to support large-scale marketing campaigns and automate campaign reporting.
- Write high-quality SQL queries to retrieve and analyze data from database tables.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve data integrity and accuracy issues across reporting and data infrastructure.
Job Skills/Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience with SQL (Oracle, Vertica, Hive, MySQL, etc.)
- Experience building and operating distributed systems for data extraction, ingestion, and processing large datasets from multiple sources.
- Expertise in ETL design, implementation, and maintenance.
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools (Tableau, MicroStrategy, etc.) and report automation.
- Proficiency in Python and R.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-changing environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
