Full-Time Data Scientist-FinTech

Our Fortune 100 financial services client is seeking a Data Scientist with experience in the payments industry to support the creation and delivery of Small Business Credit Analysis Reports for their local and regional banking partners. The report will entail:

• Evaluation of third-party small business data partners.
• Analysis of the benefits of third-party vendor data.
• Construct for a line assignment test using new data.
• Implementation and testing guidance and support.
• Identification of key opportunities and strategic advice.
• Summary of key activities and guidance.

Location: Remote within U.S.

Duration: 3-month consulting role with possible extension

What you’ll do:

• Conduct data analysis on small business credit card data for our client’s banking partners.
• Append multi-data sets (internal + 3rd party vendor data) to improve credit line assignment decisions.
• Develop business cases, evaluate successful vs unsuccessful strategies, and incorporate data variables into challenger strategies.
• Identify trends and patterns within data sets to derive actionable insights from data; make recommendations based on findings to improve process efficiency.

At least 3-5 years of experience working as a Data Scientist within a financial services organization.

Experience in small business credit or understanding of credit card line assignment (preferred).

Skills in making decisions based on industry data, new data variables, and testing in the client environment.

Clear and concise communication skills with the ability to present recommendations to leadership, clients, and stakeholders.

Pay Range: $55-60 per hour. Compensation based on experience.
