Full-Time Dental Billing/Payment Poster

We are seeking an experienced Payment Poster & Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in dental payment posting and accounts receivable follow-up.

Role Responsibilities:

• Accurately post payments, adjustments, and denials to patient accounts.
• Post payments received daily (within 72 hours) and verify EFT deposits and scanned checks.
• Identify payment discrepancies and work with RCM Account Managers.
• Monitor daily reports for accuracy and timeliness.
• Interpret EOBs for payment posting and refunds.
• Reconcile payment discrepancies and resolve posting errors.
• Monitor and report on accounts receivable aging and denied claims.
• Record batch totals with date and initials on payment batch reconciliation.
• Document payment denials and respond to inquiries.
• Adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
• Work with a high volume of work while maintaining attention to detail.
• Proficient in billing software and PMS systems.
• Understand insurance reimbursement processes and dental terminology.
• Process patient and insurance refunds.
• Work independently and meet deadlines as part of a team.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years experience in dental payment posting and accounts receivable follow-up.

• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and maintain professionalism.
• Strong computer skills.
• Strong knowledge of insurance reimbursement processes.
• Ability to read and understand EOBs.
• Experience with patient and insurance refund processing and calculations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
