Full-Time Dev Ops Engineer

Serverfarm is a leading data center developer and operator. We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer to deploy platform updates, identify production issues, and implement integrations for our customers. The ideal candidate will have experience in software engineering and proficiency with Ruby or Python.

Key Accountabilities:

• Improving current development tools and infrastructure
• Building and implementing new development tools and infrastructure
• Automating and improving development and release processes
• Testing and analyzing code
• Ensuring system security
• Identifying technical problems and developing fixes
• Working with developers on established processes
• Planning projects and participating in project management
• Deploying updates and fixes
• Building tools to reduce errors and improve experience
• Performing root cause analysis and resolving technical issues
• Developing scripts for visualization
• Designing procedures for troubleshooting and maintenance

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience as a DevOps engineer or similar role
• Proficiency with Git and GitHub workflows
• Knowledge of Ruby or Python
• Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks (AngularJS, React, Node.js)
• Experience with databases (MySQL, MongoDB)
• Familiarity with message queuing technologies (Kafka, MQTT - optional)
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, agile practices, and version control
• Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and collaboration skills
• Strong communication skills
• Working knowledge of databases and SQL
• Problem-solving attitude
• Collaborative team spirit
