Full-Time Development Lead

Wholesale Express (WE) is actively searching for a Development Lead to head a Fullstack Team of four developers working within a Scrum framework. WE is an innovative leader in digital auto auction services, providing a seamless online platform that connects vehicle dealers across North America. Focused on simplifying the wholesale process, WE offer end-to-end services, including logistics, secure payments, and transport options, to help clients move inventory efficiently. 🚘🤝

Position Overview:As the Development Lead, you will play a vital role in building and strengthening communications within the team. This role requires a hands-on senior engineer with expertise in React, React Native, and AWS, who can drive both the technical direction and the team's Scrum processes. The ideal candidate will cultivate and facilitate clear communication, actively manage workloads, and ensure smooth collaboration within the team. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, excellent interpersonal skills, and knowledge of the automotive or B2B sales landscape is beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership & Management: Lead a team of fullstack developers, providing daily guidance, feedback, and management where necessary to ensure team members are actively working in the sprints.
2. Scrum Master: Act as Scrum Master, managing all aspects of the Scrum process including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives to ensure smooth project flow.
3. Technical Oversight: Provide expert guidance on React, React Native, and AWS, and assist in solving complex technical challenges.
4. Strengthen Communication: Actively work on facilitating and improving team communication and collaboration to ensure effective teamwork.
5. Project Coordination: Align team efforts with project goals and deliverables, making sure tasks are well-defined, achievable, and clearly assigned.
6. Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements within the team's workflow, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous development that is in line with the company’s growth plans.
7. Mentorship: Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to team members, supporting their growth and maximizing productivity.

Requirements:

• Experience: 5+ years of fullstack development experience with 2 years in a lead role with scrum exposure.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in React, React Native, and AWS.
• Agile/Scrum Expertise: Experience managing a Scrum team, with proven knowledge of Agile practices.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to facilitate effective team interactions.
• Problem-Solving: Skilled at identifying team blockers and efficiently resolving conflicts or challenges.
