Development Manager will manage the activities required to develop utility-scale wind and/or solar energy projects, at the direction of the Director of Development.
Responsibilities: Overseeing the lifecycle of renewable energy projects; managing and leading project development in assigned region; representing the company with officials, regulators, utilities, and stakeholders; overseeing permitting efforts; managing project financial models and design; negotiating landowner leases and power purchase agreements; and developing marketing strategy.
Skills/Experience Needed: Bachelor's degree in a development-related field, 3+ years of project development experience (preferably utility-scale energy), strong project management skills, contract negotiation experience, understanding of renewable energy financing, and ability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams.
Additional Requirements: Willingness to travel 40-50% and work from headquarters in Charlottesville, VA, or a satellite office in Lake Elmo, MN, or a remote location.
