Full-Time Development Manager - Midlands

We’re recruiting a new Development Manager to support the Head of Development.

You'll source, appraise, scrutinise, and contract s106, package deals, land-led opportunities, and joint ventures, managing a pipeline across local authority areas in the Midlands.

Responsibilities Include:

• Reporting to the Head of Development and working with Finance & Operations.
• Supporting the full delivery of s106, package deals, land-led opportunities, and JV Partnerships.
• Undertaking business development activities to target, price, and negotiate schemes within the Midlands region.
• Prospecting, appraising, and testing schemes according to investment parameters and scrutiny processes.
• Ensuring scheme appraisals are accurate.
• Managing all negotiations transparently and ethically, safeguarding the company’s reputation.
• Contracting projects and managing them effectively, ensuring successful project management aligned with programs and high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Sourcing and contracting residential affordable housing investments/developments.
• Maintaining strong relationships with developers and house builders.
• Delivering good returns and effective project management & risk management.
• Substantial local knowledge of social housing and wider residential sectors.
• Expert understanding of social housing development, housing management, and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of developing new business relationships.
• Ability to act efficiently within decision-making processes.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to embrace change.
