The DevOps engineer identifies and optimizes the interdependencies between application development and infrastructure operations.
Job Responsibilities
Participates in a team responsible for configuration, packaging, and deployment of the development software and custom applications for government projects
Provides subject matter expertise on application server technologies
Responsible for key system design and integration decisions around tools, processes, and practices enabling teams to apply DevOps practices
Executes deployment operations to monitor and improve on pre-release, upgrades, and current versions of software
Develops protocols to support established government development standards
Job Skills
Overall 5+ years of experience in the industry
Experience with Azure and AWS resource management
Able to write SQL scripts and automation scripts using Python/ansible in Unix or Windows environment.
In-depth knowledge of LINUX/UNIX system and working knowledge of UNIX shell scripts and/or PowerShell.
Understanding of Infrastructure as Code and practical application of IaC to manage infrastructure.
