Full-Time DevOps Engineer

Role Description We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to focus on the Updox group. Our mission is to build a technology platform that enables medical practices of all sizes to make care more informed, more personalized, more interactive, and more adaptable.

Manage infrastructure and deployments in a CoLo datacenter

Design and implement cloud infrastructure in AWS

Build and maintain tools for application development and deployment

Provide support for application, data, and security engineers

Create and improve Kubernetes workloads, terraform modules, and Ansible playbooks

Ensure service uptime and scalability in response to surging user traffic loads

Qualifications

1. 3+ years experience with Linux server administration: configuration, troubleshooting, tuning, hardening, and monitoring
2. Application traffic management using tools such as Nginx and HAProxy, or API gateways
3. Configuration management with Ansible
4. Managing, scaling, and upgrading clustered data stores, such as Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, or Kafka
5. Upgrading and maintaining production systems without downtime
6. Monitoring and observability systems, such as Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus, and the ELK stack
7. Troubleshooting distributed applications
8. 1+ years' experience with data center networking: routing, switching, VPN technologies, and firewall policy management
9. Deploying and managing Java applications
10. Managing CI / CD pipelines with on-prem tools such as TeamCity or Jenkins
11. Containers and orchestration platforms, such as Amazon ECS, EKS, or Hashicorp Nomad
12. Compliance standards such as PCI, SOX, and HIPAA

• Strong skill set and proven background in automating software deployment pipelines
• Building infrastructure and managing resources in AWS cloud
• Solid understanding of infrastructure and networking
• Skills to integrate CI/CD pipelines into a secure and highly available production environment
