The impact of the role:
The Senior DevOps Engineer will be a critical team member of the DevOps Chapter responsible for driving the implementation of DevOps best practices and principles to streamline our software development lifecycle and enhance system reliability, scalability, and security.

On a given day, a Senior DevOps Engineer will:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and automated DevOps solutions.
- Establish and develop CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test and deployment of software development.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes.
- Implement monitoring and alerting solutions using modern backend systems to track system performance, identify issues and ensure high availability and reliability.
- Ensure security best practices and compliance standards across the DevOps pipeline to safeguard system integrity and protect sensitive data.
- Foster collaboration between cross-functional teams to promote a DevOps culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Lead efforts to troubleshoot complex technical issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to minimize system downtime and disruptions.
Requirements
In order to be successful in this role you will need:
- BSc. and/or MSc in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering or any related field.
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in a DevOps/SRE/Cloud computing position.
- Proficiency in public cloud computing platforms such as AWS.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
- Strong automation skills with experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience with configuration management tools, such as Ansible.
- Ability to build CI/CD pipelines using modern automation tools like GitHub actions and Bitbucket Pipelines.
- Proven experience in designing, implementing and managing advanced monitoring and alerting mechanisms. Preferred monitoring and alerting tools: Prometheus, AlertManager, Grafana, Datadog.
- Proven experience in design and managing network segments on AWS infrastructure.
- Ability to design and implement cloud migration plans, in a timely, secure and consistent manner.
- Proficiency in Linux operating system both as an end user and for server administration.
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages like Python, or Shell scripting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Active contribution as a team player to collaborative efforts.
- Fluency in English is a must, as we are a multinational company.
Amazing if you have:
- Experience with designing, implementing and managing complex and reliable data pipeline architectures.
- Experience with integrating machine learning models or AI algorithms into DevOps workflows (MLops).
- Understanding of big data technologies such as Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, or distributed data processing frameworks, and experience with integrating them into DevOps workflows for data-driven applications.
