Client: Super-intelligent finance platform, real-time data transformer turning messy streams (bank feeds, invoices, emails, API events) into structured records.
Role Overview: Collaborate closely with the development team, reviewing infrastructure decisions and taking ownership of platform release.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review & approve all AWS resources (Lambda, RDS/Postgres, S3, EventBridge, VPC, IAM, KMS).
- Own post-launch modules, blocking console clicks.
- Validate VPCs, peering, VPNs, routing, and private endpoints.
- Implement least-privilege paths and document topology for scale.
- Audit IAM policies, encryption settings, secret rotation, and audit logging, ensuring compliance with GSI security baseline.
- Evaluate & optimize ELK or Prometheus/Grafana stack for proactive alerting.
- Confirm automated CVE scans, patch workflows, and incident response runbooks, including tabletop drills.
- Gather SOC 2 & ISO 27001 evidence (config snapshots, access logs), addressing gaps, and answering customer questionnaires.
- Review GitHub Actions (or similar) pipelines, ensuring SAST/DAST/IaC scans and signed artifacts, then own and improve them.
- Verify & test snapshots, cross-region replication, and restore runbooks to prevent data loss.
Requirements:
- Terraform/Terragrunt for real workloads
- AWS expertise across compute, storage, and networking
- Deep cloud-networking knowledge (VPC design, peering, VPN, routing)
- Observability stacks (ELK, Prometheus/Grafana, or similar)
- SOC 2 & ISO 27001 experience
- Vulnerability management & incident response experience
- Availability to work with a 4-6 hr overlap with New York time
