The Role: You'll work closely with our software engineers to design and manage cloud infrastructure. Key responsibilities include automating builds, managing configurations in a cloud-first environment, and bridging the gap between products, operations, and developers through automation.
What You'll Do:
- Collaborate with developers and operations to automate, build, and deploy within Google Cloud Platform and AWS, using tools like Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD.
- Manage data upload, storage, and costs in AWS.
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery.
- Implement and improve DevOps tools, processes, and procedures.
- Create and maintain infrastructure to meet product and developer needs.
- Manage and improve software versioning and release deployment.
- Create reports and manage metrics for deployed software and infrastructure.
- Build and maintain scalable infrastructure for deployments.
- Respond to critical system issues after business hours.
- Maintain and manage a high-availability network, including VPN connections.
- Maintain on-prem and legacy devices (Linux servers, VMs, Cisco Meraki switches).
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in SRE roles and DevOps methodologies.
- Expert skills in Docker, Bash, Linux (Ubuntu).
- Expert scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash).
- Experience with automated builds, tests, and deployments using Git, AWS, GCP, CI/CD, and configuration/orchestration management.
- Strong knowledge of GCP and AWS management and best practices.
- Self-motivated, responsible, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively as a remote team member.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and a quick learner.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Agile development and Jira/Confluence workflow.
- Understanding of IoT products and relevant infrastructure.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes in a distributed environment.
- Experience with Terraform or other configuration/orchestration tools.
- Experience in network management of cloud and on-prem networks (VPN, routing).
- Excellent understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and versioning.
