Full-Time DevOps Principal Engineer

Echo Base is a private holding company focusing on special situation investments in the digital asset space. Our global crypto team has extensive experience scaling ventures and restructuring complex assets.

The DevOps Principal Engineer oversees Echo Base's DevOps environment strategy, architecture, and operations.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing and executing a comprehensive DevOps strategy for cryptocurrency platforms and services.
• Overseeing AWS cloud infrastructure design, deployment, and optimization for high performance, cost efficiency, and cloud-native best practices.
• Driving observability tool adoption (Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana) for proactive monitoring, alerting, and rapid issue resolution.
• Building and managing automated workflows and event-driven systems (Apache Airflow, AWS Lambda).
• Implementing data visualization and reporting solutions (Superset) for transaction metrics and KPIs.
• Conducting security audits, enforcing compliance, and implementing data protection best practices.
• Acting as the primary escalation point for critical incidents, leading swift resolution and improvement through post-mortems.
• Reporting DevOps metrics, performance updates, and technical strategies to senior leadership.

Requirements include:

• 7+ years DevOps/Cloud Engineering experience, with 3+ years leadership.
• Advanced AWS expertise (EC2, S3, Elasticache, ECS, DynamoDB, Route 53, WAF, SNS, CloudWatch, ELB).
• Strong DevOps best practices knowledge (GitOps, CI/CD, Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Proficiency in workflow orchestration (Apache Airflow) and event-driven architectures (Kafka, AWS Lambda).
• Expertise in monitoring and visualization tools (Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, Superset).
• In-depth knowledge of security protocols (KMS, Certificate Manager, CloudTrail, WAF).
• Familiarity with cryptocurrency systems (wallet security, transaction processing, global regulations).
