DevOps Principal Engineer Oversees the strategy, architecture, and operations of Paxful’s DevOps environment. Requires deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, security protocols, and monitoring tools, along with exceptional leadership skills.
What you'll do:
- Develop and execute a DevOps strategy for scalability, uptime, and security.
- Oversee AWS cloud infrastructure design, deployment, and optimization for high performance and cost efficiency.
- Drive adoption and implementation of observability tools (Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Build and manage automated workflows and event-driven systems (Apache Airflow, AWS Lambda).
- Implement data visualization and reporting solutions (Superset).
- Conduct security audits, enforce compliance with regulations, and protect user data.
- Escalate and resolve critical incidents; improve through post-mortems.
- Report key DevOps metrics, performance updates, and technical strategies.

- Proven leader with expertise in cloud platforms and DevOps best practices.
- Skilled at fostering collaboration, mentoring, and resolving critical issues.
- Passionate about innovation and optimization in high-security environments.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of DevOps, Cloud Engineering experience, with 3+ in leadership roles.
- Advanced expertise in AWS services (EC2, S3, Elasticache, ECS, DynamoDB, Route 53, WAF, SNS, CloudWatch, ELB).
- Strong knowledge of DevOps best practices (GitOps, CI/CD, Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Proficiency in workflow orchestration tools (Apache Airflow) and event-driven architectures (Kafka, AWS Lambda).
- Expertise in monitoring and visualization tools (Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, Superset).
- In-depth knowledge of security protocols and tools (KMS, Certificate Manager, CloudTrail, WAF).
- Familiarity with cryptocurrency systems (wallet security, transaction processing, compliance).
