Full-Time Digital Buildings Consultant

Digital Buildings Consultant leads consultant teams and delivers consultancy and systems engineering projects focused on Digital Building technologies, applications, processes, and standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Program & Project Management: Delivers consultancy and engineering services according to proposals, scopes of work, and engagement letters.
2. Client Management: Understands and meets client requirements and business objectives, building positive stakeholder relationships.
3. Services & Solutions Delivery: Supports, advises, and collaborates on Digital Building systems integration, technologies, initiatives, solutions, processes, and standards.
4. Design: Designs Digital Building systems and architectures for optimal performance, functionality, and value.
5. Review: Reviews designs, identifying issues and suggesting improvements.
6. Reporting: Produces service delivery, technical, and project-related reports.
7. Business Development: Identifies and communicates potential revenue opportunities, supporting business development efforts when necessary.
8. Industry Expertise: Maintains expertise on industry trends, developments, and initiatives, identifying and delivering continuous improvement opportunities.
9. FPC Responsibilities: Represents FPC professionally, achieves high customer satisfaction, works effectively within the Digital Building Services team, reports to line manager, manages workload, escalates issues, and complies with FPC policies and procedures.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in the Digital Building and IoT industry in roles like Consultant, Designer, Project Manager, or Engineer.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Controls, Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Strong technical expertise in Digital Building technologies, including Digital Building Systems Integration design, development, and implementation, and Digital Building Controls Systems (BMS, Automation Systems, Lighting Controls Systems, AV).
• Expertise in Control Protocols (BACnet, MQTT, Modbus, etc.), Systems Specifications, Architectures, Schematic Drawings, Wiring Diagrams, Point Naming, Addressing, Asset Records, Cybersecurity best practices, IP Networking (IPv4, IPv6), System Audits, and Site Surveys.
• Experience working in design teams, client requirements gathering, technical submittal creation, and SoW/specification development.
• Proficiency in Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office.
• Desirable: IoT Systems design, delivery, and operation experience; use of cloud platforms (Google, Microsoft, Amazon), data analytics, AutoCAD/BIM/Visio, RIBA/AIA stages of work or international equivalents, construction project experience, and systems testing and commissioning.
