Full-Time Digital Buildings Consultant

Digital Buildings Consultant role involves leading teams and delivering consultancy & systems engineering projects within Digital Building technologies.

The role works as part of the FPC Digital Building Services Group, responsible for delivering projects to clients according to the Scope of Work (SoW) and other client-side documents. This includes client management, stakeholder relationship building, and technical leadership.

Responsibilities include:

1. Program & Project Management: Deliver consultancy & engineering services/projects according to Proposal/SoW/Engagement Letter.
2. Client Management: Understand & develop customer requirements and objectives, working with stakeholders to meet deliverables.
3. Services & Solutions Delivery: Support, advise, and collaborate on Digital Building systems integration, technologies, solutions, processes, and standards; design optimal system architectures for performance, functionality, and value; and review/improve systems architectures.
4. Business Development: Identify potential revenue opportunities, communicate to management, and support business development activity.
5. Industry Expertise: Maintain expertise on industry trends, developments, and initiatives, identifying/developing/delivering/supporting opportunities for continuous improvement.
6. FPC Responsibilities: Professional representation, achieving high customer satisfaction, effective team membership, communication with colleagues, contributing to team and business development, reporting to line manager, managing workload, escalating issues, adhering to policies (Employee Handbook, Health & Safety, Time & Expenses Reporting), and completing other duties as requested.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years Digital Building & IoT industry experience.
• Proven track record in Digital Building related roles (e.g., Consultant, Designer, Project Manager, Engineer).
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Controls, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Strong technical expertise in Digital Building technologies (e.g., systems integration, BMS, automation, lighting controls, AV, control protocols, system architectures, schematic drawings, cybersecurity, IP networking).
• Effective stakeholder management & communication skills (project, client, and team meetings, document writing, presentations).
• Experience working as part of a design team to develop coordinated designs; client requirements gathering and documentation; technical submittal creation/review; SoW & specification development.
• Competent using Google Suite &/or Microsoft Office applications.
• Desirable experience/qualifications: IoT Systems design, delivery, and operation; use of cloud platforms (Google, Microsoft, Amazon); data analytics; AutoCAD/BIM/Visio; RIBA/AIA or international equivalents; construction projects & contracting; systems testing & commissioning; FDD; automated commissioning systems.
