Job Details
Director, Continuous Improvement reports to the VP, Premium Operations, and executes the continuous improvement strategy and approach by providing technical and strategic direction to identify and address business issues and opportunities.
Engages with all departments to sustain, improve, and streamline all processes with a primary focus on safety, quality, delivery, inventory, productivity, and engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as Champion of the MasterBrand Business System for operations, sourcing, logistics, and engineering within premium operations.
- Cultivate the MasterBrand Way culture by utilizing MasterBrand Business System tools and methodologies while driving change.
- Lead functional teams to analyze and measure the effectiveness of existing business processes, and develop sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable business process improvements.
- Serve as a coach of 6S, Kaizen events, Standard Work, Daily Management, A3 Problem Solving, Value Stream Maps, and related process improvement methodologies through hands-on participation.
- Lead Strategy and Business Development leaders to deploy, improve, and sustain standard work for key processes.
- Develop and sustain a funnel of kaizen events that support the strategy and cost improvement targets.
- Support the development of the strategy, priorities, and goals.
- Understand and apply financial drivers and key performance indicators.
- Document best practices and share improvements to leverage results.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in business, Engineering Degree, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 10 years of experience of increasing responsibility within manufacturing, operations, or related field.
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
- Ability to articulate a vision and drive results through influence of indirect reporting relationships.
- Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Training in Lean 80/20 principles, adult education, or a proven track record of plan execution.
- A team orientation with a proven ability to mentor and develop others.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
