Position Purpose: Manage and execute profitable growth objectives for the US-Central and Southeast Regions, developing and closing CPM contracts while respecting Veolia's values. Collaborate with VNA, HQ Corporate, and regional teams for plant upgrade and collections system projects.
Responsibilities Include:
- Driving revenue and margin growth across the region.
- Full Revenue and P&L responsibility for the US-Central and Southeast Regions.
- Participating in CPM growth strategy definition and implementation.
- Developing a pipeline of new leads through proactive communication with municipal clients.
- Managing opportunities through the WIN process and Commercial Excellence program.
- Leading and preparing Capital Plans.
- Coordinating internal teams for proposal preparation.
- Managing pricing and presentations to clients.
- Leading client negotiations and agreement preparation.
- Developing partnerships with engineering and construction entities.
- Developing, managing, and overseeing preliminary engineering efforts.
- Executing the balance of design and construction with the CPM Construction Management team.
- Using Salesforce for sales pipeline management.
- Creating a positive environment within the BD team.
- Providing administrative and technical direction, enforcing company policies, and ensuring project adherence to design, budget, and schedule.
- Conducting and overseeing independent evaluation, selection, adaptation, and modification of construction techniques.
- Leading CPM Central and Southeast teams for capital project development.
- Managing all stakeholders (contractors, engineers, etc.)
- Performing preliminary engineering, cost estimating, and forecasting.
- Managing outside engineering consultants and construction contractors.
- Ensuring project safety, overseeing change orders and contracts, maintaining client relationships.
- Conducting construction inspection, project administration, and reporting.
- Interacting with Veolia plant operation and collections system teams.
- Supporting other Veolia Water's operations projects.
- Establish a collaborative culture in VNA.
- Identifying opportunities and value proposition for clients and preparing proposals.
- Participating in regional growth strategy implementation.
- Organizing and directing construction activities for project adherence.
- Authorizing/approving contractor selections, hiring, and work.
- Monitoring budgets, schedules, cost reports, and progress.
- Acting as primary client contact for project field activities.
- Maintaining project logs and documentation files.
- Assisting with implementation/interpretation of safety programs.
- Overseeing project environmental regulation compliance.
Work Environment: Varies greatly, including office locations, operating project sites, and construction sites.
Travel: Over 80% travel, primarily across the US-Central and Southeast Regions, occasionally elsewhere.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering (or equivalent experience), MBA preferred, Professional Engineer preferred. 8-10 years of experience in engineering design and management, project management, cost estimating, business development, and construction management. Experience in water/wastewater projects desirable.
Compensation: Commensurate with experience.
