About the Position: We seek a highly motivated and organized Director of Land Acquisition. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong industry knowledge, superior communication and negotiation skills, and detail-oriented contract analysis and organizational skills.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Lead negotiations for real estate contracts.
- Lead due diligence tracking and project status reporting.
- Assist with market and site analysis.
- Assist with title matters (vesting, mineral rights, liens, etc.).
- Coordinate with landowners, attorneys, surveyors, utilities, and stakeholders.
- Draft and execute agreements (purchase, lease, easements, etc.).
- Prepare land project budgets and track costs.
- Resolve cross-functional project hurdles with teams like transmission, permitting, engineering, origination, and finance.
- Manage title insurance and ALTA surveys.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (Juris Doctor preferred)
- 7+ years renewable energy project development experience
- 5+ years real estate development experience
- Proficiency in Google Earth and MS Office Suite
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Understanding of real estate issues in energy development and financing
- Ability to interpret legal documents and contracts
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Resourcefulness, attention to detail, and investigative skills
- Self-motivated and eager to learn
- Passion for green energy

- Experience managing large mineral rights mitigation efforts
- Experience providing clear updates to executive teams
Compensation: Competitive salary with benefits (401k matching, medical/dental, PTO). Salary range: $187,962 - $208,847 USD (base salary).
