The RoleWe seek a Director of Customer Delivery to lead implementation and delivery for government agency customers. This hands-on role manages a project manager team and leads complex implementations. You’ll be a strategic partner for successful Authorium deployments. Adaptation and customer partnership are key.
What You'll Do
- Lead and develop a team of project managers.
- Run implementation projects (individual contributor).
- Partner with agencies to integrate Authorium.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (solution engineers, product resources).
- Collaborate with Product Success Leads (PSLs) for co-delivery success.
- Navigate scope changes, timeline adjustments, and expectation management (including critical customer realignment).
- Ensure customer success through UAT, training, go-live, and support.
- Adapt delivery tactics to customer needs.
- Report weekly on delivery health, escalating issues and opportunities to leadership.
- Champion customer partnership.
The Work EnvironmentYou'll work closely with government agencies transforming procurement and project management. You'll collaborate closely with Product Success Leads (PSLs). You report directly to the CEO with significant autonomy. Weekly directors roundtables provide visibility into delivery health.
Requirements
- Proven team leader with 3+ years managing delivery/implementation teams.
- Consultant mindset: listen, adapt, focus on customer outcomes.
- Comfortable with both management and individual contributor roles.
- Excellent customer-facing skills and handling difficult conversations.
- High emotional intelligence (EQ) and charisma.
- Self-starter thriving in ambiguous situations.
- Highly adaptable and capable of handling project shifts.
- Experience with complex B2B implementations.
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams.
- Customer-obsessed and prioritize customer satisfaction.
- Proactive communication.
LocationEmployees located within 30 miles of San Francisco, Sacramento, or Washington, D.C. are required to work onsite Tuesday-Thursday. Remote work is available.
