DomainTools is seeking an experienced leader to direct several of our DevOps delivery teams. This position will manage engineers and other managers responsible for designing, building, deploying, operating, and maintaining our production systems. Our teams leverage DevOps platforms enabling continuous integration and deployment of our security applications to our hybrid on-prem and AWS environments. We utilize best-in-class tools to accelerate engineering productivity, reduce operational toil, improve consistency, and enhance coworker experience.
At DomainTools, we confront the challenges of collecting, ingesting, processing, searching, alerting, and contextualizing internet-scale data for real-time threat intelligence, defense, and investigation.

Job Responsibilities:
- Orchestrate your organization; manage through other managers.
- Lead a team of engineers, providing leadership and mentoring.
- Recruit, develop, and retain talent ensuring necessary skills and capabilities.
- Manage low performers.
- Collaborate with teams to understand requirements, propose improvements, guide direction, ensure best practices, and gain alignment.
- Predict the needs of teams and customers.
- Define, implement, and continually improve processes.
- Estimate project requirements, timelines, capacity, and costs.
- On-call participation with global 24/7 operations engineers.
Requirements:
- 10+ years experience in technology management
- Director level experience
- Large team oversight (20+ people)
- Offshore team management
- Direct performance management
- Proven ability to interact, present, and influence across all company levels.
- 5+ years experience building SaaS solutions and relevant tooling
- Expertise in AWS & private cloud, Kubernetes (orchestration), Kafka (streaming), and programming languages (C/Python/GoLang/Rust)
- Data systems experience (RDBMS, NoSQL, Datalakehouse)
- Experience in creating and implementing visibility
- Project management & process creation skills
- Strong performance management skills: individual, team, project KPI's
Pluses:
- Master's degree or higher in Computer Science
- Multi-disciplinary experience (DevOps, RelEng, QA, Documentation, NOC, etc.)
- RedHat OpenShift experience
- Deep DNS knowledge
- Experience with Internet security, threat intelligence products, Whois data, DNS data, SSL certificate data, web crawl data, and related technologies
- Strong opinions; loosely held ownership of cost governance
- Experience with AI for programmer efficiency
