Xplor is looking for a Director of Data & AI Platforms to transform data into a core enterprise asset. You will lead a team of data architects and engineers to build and scale our enterprise data and AI platform, architected around Snowflake and modern data transformation frameworks.
- Strategic & Commercial Leadership: Develop and execute a vision for Xplor's Data and AI strategy.
- Team Development & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of Data professionals.
- Modern Data & AI Stack Architecture: Design and implement a unified data architecture.
- Data & AI Productization: Drive the data product strategy from conception to launch.
- Financial & Performance Management: Manage platform costs and demonstrate a clear return on investment (ROI).
- Data Governance & Quality: Establish and enforce a pragmatic data governance framework.
- Execution & Delivery: Lead the team in the execution of automated and scalable data integration.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with leadership, product management, and engineering teams.
- 10+ years in data engineering, data architecture, or data science.
- 5+ years in a formal leadership role.
- Experience with AI/ML and Generative AI initiatives.
- Expert-level knowledge of the modern data stack, with deep hands-on experience in Snowflake and modern data transformation frameworks (e.g., Spark, Coalesce, dbt).
- Extensive hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure).
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
