Full-Time Director of Engineering, Foundation

• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of platform engineers and architects.
• Provide strategic enterprise architecture leadership for core, reusable components and frameworks.
• Partner closely with engineering leaders across distributed computing, data analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence domains.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to translate business objectives into clear, actionable requirements.
• Design and deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable architectural patterns.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools to enhance development practices.
• Champion engineering best practices including Agile development, CI/CD, DevOps automation, and architectural governance.
• Ensure foundational systems embody principles of security, scalability, resilience, observability, and sustainability.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience managing high-performing technical teams.
• 5+ years of experience designing cloud-native architectures with a major cloud provider (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• 15+ years of experience in full-stack software development.
• Deep experience with numerous components of our technology stack.
• Proven experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
