As a result of business growth, Turner & Townsend is seeking experienced Director-level estimating professionals to relocate to the US.
Who are you? Experienced Infrastructure Director of Estimating with at least 15 years' progressive experience. Lead a cost management team, ensuring all accountabilities are met.
Liaise with clients and consultants throughout project stages. Develop cost estimates from drawings and specifications.
Meet and negotiate costs with Contractors. Use appropriate estimating tools (client tools, customized spreadsheets, software, benchmarking).
Create monthly post-contract cost reports and present to clients.
Provide input into value engineering; negotiate and approve final accounts. Identify improvements for cost management procedures and refer ideas to appropriate line manager. Perform all aspects of estimating, analysis, and verification of contractor costs.
Manage cost checks and valuations on larger projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Develop life cycle, maintenance, and operating costs. Assist in creating a historical pricing database and cost estimating guidelines.

SOX control responsibilities may apply. Must have infrastructure construction experience (Rail, Light Rail, Bus, Transportation Civil Construction). Computer-based estimating software experience (e.g., take-off, Revit, Blue Beam). Expert knowledge of construction procurement methods and industry sectors. Strong presentation, communication skills (verbal and written). Highly proficient in Microsoft Suite.
Education/Experience: Infrastructure project experience is mandatory. Technical work experience or college degree in Cost Estimating, Construction Management or related field is required. Minimum 15 years' experience in cost estimating, specifically in a delivery role. Hold relevant cost management credentials (e.g., AACE, ASPE, RICS).
Experience leading multiple estimating teams simultaneously and working on multiple project phases (not just pre-construction) is essential.
Consultancy experience preferred. Experience with civil estimating is essential. Strong understanding of all civils, structural and architectural systems. Salary range: $175,000-$240,000 per year. This range is a reflection of base salary only.
