Allied Talent Partners is seeking a Director of Finance for a Benin-based infrastructure and engineering company focused on solar solutions.
Role: Director of Finance
Responsibilities:
- Establish financial operations (budgeting, accounts payable/receivable, reporting).
- Develop cash flow models and financial controls.
- Interface with local banks, auditors, and legal advisors.
- Support funding activities and donor reporting.
- Recruit and onboard a local finance team.
- Provide training and transition planning.
Requirements:
- 10+ years in senior finance within infrastructure, renewable energy, or project finance.
- Experience setting up financial systems for early-stage ventures in emerging markets.
- Familiarity with donor-funded project finance and grant management.
- Understanding of West African finance regulations and tax laws.
Technical Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Master’s degree or professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CFA) preferred.
- ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or local equivalents).
- Financial Modeling & Forecasting skills.
- Regulatory & Risk Management expertise.
- Fundraising & Investor Relations experience.
- Data & Reporting skills.
Other Skills:
- Strong leadership and mentoring ability.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Proactive and adaptable.
Language: French/English bilingual required
Contracting Period: 6-12 months
