Director of Finance Projects, a strategic leadership role overseeing the Finance Systems team and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations within Turnitin.
Reports directly to the VP, Global Controller and will be instrumental in driving the transformation of finance systems and processes, ensuring consistency, compliance, and scalable growth within financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Finance Transformation Leadership: Partner with the VP, Global Controller to define the future strategy for financial operations, setting up KPIs and implementing scalable organizational structure.
- System and Process Transformation: Lead transformation initiative, re-engineering finance processes and systems, utilizing experience in system and process design.
- Business Process Optimization: Manage the transition to optimized finance processes across the organization.
- Team Leadership: Oversee team of subject matter experts across multiple regions, focusing on finance processes impacting customer billing. Drive team expansion and development.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as key finance contact for stakeholders across departments (Sales, People, Customers, Employees), ensuring seamless collaboration.
Qualifications:
- Required Experience: 10+ Years Finance Leadership Experience; Proven expertise managing large teams and overseeing AR finance operations on a global scale. 5+ Years in Finance Transformation & Project Management; Demonstrated success in leading large-scale finance transformation projects. ERP and Finance System Expertise; In-depth knowledge of ERP systems and subledger management, specifically in Accounts Receivable (AR). Operational KPI Design and Reporting; Strong background in designing and implementing operational financial KPIs.
- Proven Change Management Skills: Ability to lead organizational change and drive process improvement in fast-paced environments.
- Strong Analytical and Strategic Mindset: Skilled at identifying inefficiencies and developing innovative solutions.
- Excellent Communication and Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels, including Executive and Board presentations.
- Experience in Scaling Finance Operations: Ability to build and adapt AR finance processes and teams to support business growth.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required. A CPA/CA qualification is strongly preferred.
