Become a key player in our hotel openings and transitions. Join Auberge Resorts Collection as the Director of Technology for New Openings and Transitions. This hands-on leadership role handles the full technology lifecycle for new openings, transitions, and major renovations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead technology projects for new openings, transitions, and renovations, managing planning, design, deployment, and operational readiness.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, budgets, timelines, and risk strategies.
- Coordinate with Development, Design & Construction, Operations, and Finance teams.
- Establish technology opening playbooks, checklists, and standards for consistent excellence.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to integrate IT requirements into the building design.
- Plan, design review, and install low voltage systems (structured cabling, AV, WiFi, BMS, security).
- Manage IT infrastructure sequencing with construction schedules to avoid delays.
- Conduct onsite inspections to ensure proper installation and testing.
- Develop and manage pre-opening IT budgets and track expenditures.
- Analyze vendor proposals and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Support stakeholders with cost rationalization and funding discussions.
- Lead cutover and stabilization of technology systems during pre-opening and post-opening phases.
- Provide technical leadership and documentation for operational handover.
- Establish SOPs for technology operations, business continuity, data privacy, and cybersecurity.
- Source, vet, negotiate, and manage technology vendors, integrators, and consultants.
- Enforce service level agreements and performance standards.
- Ensure adherence to Auberge’s cybersecurity and IT policies.
- Oversee incident response, disaster recovery, and compliance.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of progressive IT leadership experience in luxury hospitality, focused on hotel openings, transitions, or capital projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction phases and IT system integration.
- Expertise in hospitality core systems (PMS, POS, CRM, IPTV, BMS, WiFi, telephony).
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional technology projects on time and within budget.
- Experience with IT infrastructure standards, cybersecurity frameworks, and cloud solutions.
- Excellent project management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Fluent in English.
- Willingness to travel extensively (up to 50%), including internationally.
- Preferred Certifications: PMP, ITIL v3 or ITIL 4, CISSP, CISM, cloud service (AWS, Azure), networking (CCNA, CCNP), system administration (Microsoft, Google).
