Temporary Director of Market Insights Content

Wealthfront is seeking an experienced financial writer and editor to launch and grow a new content vertical within the Consumer Communications Team. The goal is to empower young professionals with timely and unique content connecting macroeconomic news to personal finance goals.

This role will:

• Oversee the creation of engaging content across various formats (written, video).
• Ideate and create short & long-form content.
• Manage a team of experienced content creators.
• Collaborate with multiple internal teams (Social Media, Editorial, Investment Research, Product Marketing, Compliance, etc.).
• Monitor market news to generate timely content ideas.
• Build and manage a team of freelancers.
• Partner with Product Marketing, Lifecycle & Social Media teams for content distribution.
• Evaluate and recommend new content formats & distribution channels.
• Partner with internal teams to measure content impact and improve results.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years experience writing & editing financial market/macroeconomic content at a top-tier news outlet.
• Demonstrated experience with various financial content formats (newsletters, video scripts, etc.).
• Proven ability to build & manage a team of content creators.
• Strong knowledge of investing/personal finance, macroeconomic data, and their impact on young professionals.
• Strong storytelling and content translation skills.
• Experience with video content production (preferred).
• Bachelor's degree.

This is a 6-month temporary role, with a potential for permanent conversion.

Salary Range: $185,000 - $215,000 USD.
