We’re now looking for a Director of Technology and Platforms - a bold and visionary leader to guide this next chapter and make IONITY Europe’s most intelligent EV charging platform.

You will define and execute a modern technology roadmap that moves us beyond infrastructure and into an intelligent ecosystem of energy digital services, and customer-centric innovation.

You will lead our technology function and serve as a key member of the executive team, working cross-functionally to align engineering, product, energy strategy, and digital experience into a cohesive and scalable tech platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Technology Leadership
• Define and deliver IONITY’s end-to-end technology strategy in alignment with our business goals and industry developments
• Drive the shift from a CPO to a smart EV charging platform that includes AI, software services, API integrations, and energy management systems.
• Build and champion a product and engineering culture focused on agility, data, and customer centricity.
• Own the development of a modular, scalable enterprise IT architecture and tech stack that supports growth, resilience, and enables rapid product development that drives customer-centric innovation across IONITY’s digital services and infrastructure.
• Platform & Product Innovation
• Oversee the design and development of scalable digital services: smart routing, dynamic pricing, remote diagnostics, loyalty programs, and more.
• Accelerate the rollout of software platforms that integrate seamlessly with OEMs, fleets, mobility services, and energy markets.
• Pioneer the use of predictive analytics, AI/ML, and automation to enhance charger uptime, customer experience, and network optimization.
• Organizational & Talent Development
• Inspire and lead a high-performing tech team - spanning engineering, software, IT, data, and product.
• Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and shared ownership aligned with our core values of freedom, responsibility, and customer centricity.
• Drive tech hiring, structure, and capability development to support scale and resilience.
• Collaboration & Influence
• Partner with strategy, commercial, network and operations leaders to ensure technology enhances business performance and customer satisfaction.
• Represent IONITY’s technical vision to our shareholders, OEMs, commercial partners, and external stakeholders.
• Lead technology governance and architecture decisions to balance speed, reliability, and long-term scalability.
