Full-Time Director, Recommendation Science

Position Overview: As part of the Media Group Decision Sciences team, the Director will be responsible for creating machine learning solutions for NBCU’s video streaming services, including recommender systems, streaming content predictive modeling, and MarTech.

Responsibilities include:

• Build and manage a high-performance team of data scientists.
• Lead the team in the development of a recommendation system modeling and experimentation framework.
• Work with business stakeholders to define priorities, approaches, and business requirements.

Required Experience:

• At least 7 years of professional experience working in Machine Learning
• At least 3 years of team or project-based management experience in recommender systems, deep learning, and big data
• Demonstrated experience as a cross-functional partner, with the ability to effectively navigate complex organizations and consensus-build.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience working with graph-based recommendation systems

Additional Requirements:

• This position is hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

Salary: $200,000 - $250,000 (bonus and long-term incentive eligible)
