Full-Time Director, Site Reliability Engineer

Mission: Deliver and maintain a modern, scalable, cloud-based data processing pipeline infrastructure and deployment system supporting all IntegriChain’s product lines.

Duties: Collaborate with Product and engineering teams on architecture of new and existing systems and services. Mentor the DevOps Engineers on ways to improve and develop expertise in existing production systems and products. Design and oversee the development and refinement of automated infrastructure deployment and scalability of systems. Design and implement operational and infrastructure architecture best practices. Provide technical leadership across the engineering teams in areas of expertise. Own the support of production and development infrastructures required by internal IntegriChain teams, including Customer Operations, Project Management, and Product Engineering. Ensure the delivery of assigned projects are both on time and to specification. Manage the team on-call rotation and serve as the escalation point for production events. Actively investigate production outages, latency, and performance issues and follow through with thorough root cause analysis and effective remediation implementations.

Outcomes:

Individual: Design and oversee the development and the company’s implementation of automated deployments and cloud native architectures. Ensure architecture that is being deployed into test, uat, and production environments is following standards and meets our cloud first design model. Take ownership of the success of all existing platforms. Driving all services to utilize industry standards for provisioning, deploying, and updating infrastructure as code. Design and enforce best practices and standards for CI/CD for all projects. Monitor hosting costs across all cloud platforms. Accountable for SLA adherence.

Team: Design and lead SRE initiatives to improve team performance/effectiveness. Mentor and facilitate technical growth of DevOps Engineers. Ensure the team meets 100% of SRE team sprint deliverables. Ensure demos of new systems and technologies occur regularly to facilitate knowledge transfer.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years experience in Linux Systems Administration, DevOps, or Data Operations.
• 5+ years of experience with configuration management tools such as: Ansible, Chef, Puppet
• 5+ years of technical experience in scaling production infrastructures in Amazon Web Services.
• 5+ years experience and strong commitment to modern cloud operational paradigms, such as: Autoscaling, continuous integration and deployment, Blue-green deployment, System profiling
• 3+ years experience and strong commitment to both performance and uptime monitoring and benchmarking using modern, industry standard tools, such as: Datadog, SumoLogic, New Relic, ELK stack
• 3+ years experience with infrastructure as code such as:, Terraform, Packer, Cloudformation
• 3+ years experience with maintaining both SQL and NoSQL technologies, such as: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, CouchDB
• 3+ years experience developing in modern, industry standard big data frameworks on AWS, such as: Apache Spark, Elastic MapReduce, Redshift, Hive
• 2+ years of project/team management
• Experience with common GitHub developer practices and paradigms.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
