Full-Time Director, Software Engineering

Fandango is looking for a Director of Software Engineering to shape our technology platform. You'll lead the strategy and execution of solutions that power our partner-focused and white-label products, driving innovation through an API-first approach. Guide teams in building scalable platforms, integrating AI and large language models. Influence products used by millions.

• Drive innovation across brands: Fandango, Fandango at Home, and Rotten Tomatoes.
• Own integrations: Oversee APIs and integrations with studios, partners, and SaaS providers.
• Architect solutions: Design scalable systems using cloud technologies.
• Shape the product roadmap: Partner with stakeholders to align technology with company strategy.
• Bridge business and technology: Translate ideas into technical solutions.
• Create platforms: Build API and AI-driven SaaS products.
• Advance intelligence capabilities: Leverage AI and machine learning.
• Lead and inspire teams: Provide leadership to engineering managers.
• Champion security and compliance.

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in leadership roles.
• Strong background in API-first development.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proficiency in Python, C#, Java, Typescript.
• Track record of building diverse teams.
• Experience partnering with cybersecurity and compliance teams.
• Background in SaaS productization.
• Change management skills.

• Experience with entertainment platforms.
• Familiarity with MCP Servers.
• Knowledge of microservices.
• Cloud-native scaling experience (AWS).
