Summary: The Director, UI/UX will contribute to a growing Product Team, supporting a strategic roadmap for creating world-class digital experiences for resort, hotel properties, and retail businesses. Prioritizing guest experience, the role defines user experience and design to uphold the brand promise. Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining Aspen One design systems and user experience frameworks, ensuring scalability, quality, and consistency across all mobile and web experiences. Reports to the Senior Director, Product & UX.
Budgeted Salary: $150,000 - $175,000. Actual pay depends on budget and experience; bonus eligible.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and communicate UI/UX design vision supporting business goals, user needs, and product objectives.
- Communicate design strategies, rationale, and insights to stakeholders and senior leadership, advocating for user-centric design, accessibility, usability, and innovative experiences.
- Create and uphold scalable design systems for all digital products, accelerating scalability, establishing digital standards, and improving speed to market.
- Establish and enforce experience frameworks and design standards for harmonious cross-brand customer journeys across mobile, web, and e-commerce.
- Manage design vendors and internal designers, overseeing multiple concurrent projects and development lifecycles.
- Lead usability testing and user research to inform design decisions and product roadmaps across platforms.
- Ensure all designs are accessible and inclusive, maintaining compliance with evolving standards.
- Collaborate with Product Team for roadmap synergy across platforms.
- Leverage emerging technologies for continuous improvement of digital experiences.
- Collaborate on the ownership and operation of the Aspen One digital experimentation roadmap.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 7+ years combined UI/UX design experience for mobile apps, web, and/or e-commerce, with 3+ years in a Senior Designer or Director role, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years leading and managing design teams (internal or vendor or combination).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Demonstrated mastery of user-centered design, information architecture, and interaction design.
- Portfolio showcasing UI/UX work.
- Proficient in Jira or other project management applications.
- Command of design tools like Adobe Creative Suite or Figma.
- Experience with matrixed teams and vendor partners.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Mobile and web native design experience.
- Experience with modular design systems.
- Experience in travel, tourism, leisure, ski resort, luxury retail, or hospitality (helpful).
- Strong organization skills and project management.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Adaptability to change and minimal supervision needed.
- Ability to build high-performing design teams.
