Full-Time Engineering Director F/M/X

Accor Tech & Digital is Accor's innovation and tech transformation lab. Heartists® teams combine hospitality and tech for personalized, memorable, and sustainable experiences for 100 million clients in 110 countries through 5,500 hotels.

This role focuses on the Commercial, Digital & Tech department's Tribe Loyalty & Partnerships, developing digital experiences for guests using ALL.com and partner APIs. The Tribe manages customer identity, knowledge, self-care, loyalty programs, and partnerships.

Engineering Director Responsibilities:

• Ensuring value delivery to the business, collaborating with the Product Director to define vision and strategy and attracting talent.
• Leading 8 Feature Teams (~70 FTE) of Tech managers, Solution Architects, Tech Leads, Developers, QA, and SMEs.
• Assessing and challenging technical solutions across database management, front-end implementation, and APIs.
• Understanding the strategy and managing relationships with Product leaders and stakeholders.
• Defining quarterly roadmaps, driving Tribe OKR success, and managing Tribe capacity and budget.
• Defining and fostering engineering standards (security, architecture, quality, performance).
• Improving engineering excellence and contributing to the Tribe backlog.
• Empowering Feature Teams to meet purpose and metrics.
• Identifying issues and driving risk analysis for strategic outcomes.
• Acting as a servant leader to solve Feature Team problems and remove obstacles.
• Engaging with Feature Team leaders on outputs and providing feedback.

Technical Skills:

• Java, Spring, SpringBoot
• JavaScript/VueJS 2+
• HTML5/CSS/SASS
• API Rest, ORM (Relational & No-SQL)
• CI/CD Design patterns
• Cloud solutions (especially AWS ECS/Fargate, Lambda, Aurora MySQL)
• Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
• Atlassian suite (Jira, Xray, Confluence)
• Test-driven development

Required Experience:

• Leading engineering teams and mentoring technical talent
• Understanding the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies
• Knowledge of cloud-based architectures and platforms (AWS preferred)
• Familiarity with digital website ecosystems (SEO, A/B testing, accessibility, analytics, web performance)
• Experience collaborating with third parties and maintaining partnerships
• Proactive problem-solving and ability to work under tight deadlines
• Continuous learning and improvement
• Fluency in French and professional English
