Full-Time Engineering Manager

EcoVadis is seeking an Engineering Manager to join our product engineering team.

The Engineering Manager is responsible for the team's performance and functioning, encompassing both individual and collective aspects. The role will guide the team towards achieving challenging business goals and deadlines.

The role is also accountable for the quality of deliverables. The Engineering Manager will implement best practices across various aspects of the job.

Collaboration with other engineering managers is crucial to optimize development processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build, mentor, and develop a team of 6-8 engineers
• Maintain and enhance the development process, prioritizing operational excellence
• Set clear expectations and foster a positive work environment
• Collaborate with Product Owners & Product Managers to identify business needs and priorities
• Maintain effective communication between engineering and product leadership
• Utilize data-driven decision making
• Continuously monitor staffing and team capabilities
• Collaborate with tech leads, promoting skill, availability, and scalability
• Proactively identify and manage risks throughout the product development process

Qualifications:

• 8+ years in software engineering
• 3+ years in a software engineering leadership/management role
• Excellent communication skills, including mentoring, coaching, and conflict resolution
• Experience and passion for hiring, developing, and guiding people
• Experience in Agile environments
• Strong knowledge of modern web application development (Azure, .NET & React a plus)
• Self-motivated and collaborative team player
• Experience working effectively in an international and multicultural environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (C1/C2)
