We are looking for a passionate, hands-on engineering manager to lead an engineering team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of software engineers (front-end and back-end) in full-stack product development.
- Improve performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with product management on roadmap development.
- Drive innovation and high-quality feature delivery.
- Execute ideas effectively from concept to production.
- Maintain high product availability and respond to production incidents.
- Represent the team in cross-functional discussions.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of software development experience
- 3+ years managing software engineering teams
- Strong design and architecture experience in building large-scale cloud-based solutions
- Experience with high-performance, 24/7 web applications
- Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue)
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, message queues
- Familiarity with BI and big data technologies (Looker, BigTable)
- Strong communication skills
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Knowledge of the insurance industry (a plus)
