Full-Time Engineering Manager

Our remote team uses Clojure for backends and ClojureScript/TypeScript for frontends. Organized as cross-functional agile squads.

Engineering Manager role involves people leadership and delivery enablement. Reporting to our SVP Engineering, you will manage 7-9 engineers across 3-4 squads.

• People Leadership: Own career development, performance expectations, and coaching. Foster a culture of excellence.
• Delivery Enablement: Partner with Tech Leads/Product Managers to navigate trade-offs and maintain quality.
• Recruitment & Growth: Lead hiring processes and build our talent pipeline.

Experienced engineering leader with interest in helping teams be effective.

• 10+ years of software development experience
• Prior engineering management experience
• Experience supporting delivery across technical workstreams
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to navigate organizational dynamics
• Experience with performance management

• Track record of improving delivery predictability
• Experience with Clojure and/or JavaScript
• Background in fintech or regulated industries
• Experience scaling engineering teams
• History of working in matrix structures
