We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to join the financial accounting squad at Pismo/Visa. This squad delivers accounting entries of Pismo platform to clients thought the generation of platform events. Each financial movement should be reflected into accounting entries according to clients configuration. The main goal of the squad is to be connected and ready for all financial events that might occur through Pismo solution.
What you'll do:
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers.
- Hire and onboard technical talent.
- Master the technical architecture of financial accounting.
- Support for the on-call team.
- Ensure system stability, data integrity, and scalability.
- Lead multiple initiatives within Agile methodologies.
- Implement and enforce best practices for software development.
- Collaborate with QAs, Data team, product managers, and stakeholders.
- Communicate plans, progress, risks, and technical decisions.
- Support the team in ensuring robust scalability practices.
For this role, you must be based in Brazil
Language Skills:
Proficiency in English at B2 level or above (Upper-Intermediate)
Technical Skills:
- 3+ years of experience with Golang.
- Experience with AWS services: SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, S3, and EventBridge.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems and microservices.
- Experience with REST APIs.
- Proficiency with Git and version control workflows.
- Strong testing mindset with experience in unit and integration testing.
- Knowledge of SQL (MySQL or PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB).
- Experience working in high-scale and high-availability environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Docker/Containers.
- Knowledge of messaging systems and event-driven architectures.
- Understanding of observability practices (monitoring, tracing, alerting).
- Background in Agile methodologies and production support.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform or other IaC tools.
Basic Qualifications: 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of relevant work experience.
