The Platform Team at Experian is seeking an Engineering Manager with Java and AWS expertise, to manage and scale globally distributed engineering teams.
Responsibilities:
- Guide engineering teams on platform tool usage, mentorship, and professional development.
- Encourage innovation, latest technology implementation, teamwork, and out-of-the-box thinking.
- Hire engineering talent, maintaining commitment to diversity and inclusion.
- Collaborate with teams to design, build, and ship exceptional customer experiences.
- Lead the platform team in creating scalable and efficient solutions.
- Foster a continuous improvement culture with code reviews, design reviews, and knowledge sharing.
- Stay updated on industry trends, experiment with, and learn new technologies.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of software engineering experience.
- 3+ years of people management experience.
- Experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot.
- Proficiency in Object-Oriented Design principles and J2EE design patterns.
- Knowledge of microservices, RESTful APIs, NoSQL databases, MQ, or Kafka.
- Expertise in end-to-end application architecture and system design.
- In-depth understanding of AWS cloud services, security best practices, and cloud design patterns.
