AECOM is seeking an Engineering Manager (Water Design-Build) located anywhere in the United States.
Lead role in employing latest technologies to solve critical water supply, treatment, and infrastructure projects (e.g., water/wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, conveyance systems).
Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and direct ongoing Design-Build water/wastewater projects.
- Develop and capture upcoming design-build pursuits.
- Perform conceptual and detailed engineering and construction engineering project management activities.
- Manage multi-discipline design through AECOM's design centers.
- Manage procurement of process equipment and subcontractors.
- Scheduling, Value Engineering (VE) or Constructability reviews.
- Familiarity with job cost reporting and budget control (including EAC analysis).
- Strong commercial and construction contract experience.
- Proven project management skills to deliver projects on time and under budget.
- Working knowledge of job accounting and reporting (e.g., Earned Value, Estimates to Complete).
- Directly oversee and manage detailed engineering and construction teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Sanitary, Chemical Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 20+ years' experience in delivering water/wastewater projects using design-build methods.
- Good understanding of project delivery and technical discussions.
- Proven project management experience with diverse teams.
- Ability to negotiate, influence, and manage risk.
- Strong commercial and construction contract experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience managing $30M+ design-build projects.
- DBIA certificate preferred.
- California P.E. license preferred.
- Experience with local/state regulatory agencies.
- Experience managing engineering and construction subcontractors.
- Ability to conduct competitive assessments and price to win.
