Full-Time Engineering Manager (Water Design-Build)

AECOM is seeking an Engineering Manager (Water Design-Build) located anywhere in the United States.

Lead role in employing latest technologies to solve critical water supply, treatment, and infrastructure projects (e.g., water/wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, conveyance systems).

Responsibilities:

• Lead, manage, and direct ongoing Design-Build water/wastewater projects.
• Develop and capture upcoming design-build pursuits.
• Perform conceptual and detailed engineering and construction engineering project management activities.
• Manage multi-discipline design through AECOM's design centers.
• Manage procurement of process equipment and subcontractors.
• Scheduling, Value Engineering (VE) or Constructability reviews.
• Familiarity with job cost reporting and budget control (including EAC analysis).
• Strong commercial and construction contract experience.
• Proven project management skills to deliver projects on time and under budget.
• Working knowledge of job accounting and reporting (e.g., Earned Value, Estimates to Complete).
• Directly oversee and manage detailed engineering and construction teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Sanitary, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 20+ years' experience in delivering water/wastewater projects using design-build methods.
• Good understanding of project delivery and technical discussions.
• Proven project management experience with diverse teams.
• Ability to negotiate, influence, and manage risk.
• Strong commercial and construction contract experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience managing $30M+ design-build projects.
• DBIA certificate preferred.
• California P.E. license preferred.
• Experience with local/state regulatory agencies.
• Experience managing engineering and construction subcontractors.
• Ability to conduct competitive assessments and price to win.
