AECOM needs a middle-level Project Manager (PM III) to support Environmental Remediation projects in Hawaii and Guam. This Honolulu-based role is open to remote candidates on the mainland. The position focuses on large-scale remediation projects. The successful candidate will have experience managing environmental remediation projects of $1 million or greater, including Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, and Remedial Actions for the Federal sector.
Responsibilities:
- Manage one or more complex projects, potentially involving national geographic clients, a full spectrum of IE services, litigation, environmental protection, or due diligence.
- Manage all phases of projects (start to finish).
- Have consenting and regulatory authority for approvals.
- Manage other Project Managers.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related field and 4+ years relevant experience (or equivalent).
- US Citizenship for DoD project site access.
- Ability to travel at least 10%.
- Pass pre-employment background and motor vehicle checks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Obtain DBIDs pass for federal military installation access.
- Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER and Supervisor certifications, and meet OSHA medical clearance requirements.
- CERCLA and environmental science experience (site assessment, characterization, remediation, risk assessment, environmental chemistry).
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Master's degree in related field.
- Professional registration preferred.
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint) and technical report preparation.
- State of Hawaii Department of Health TGM, SCP, and local environmental regulation knowledge.
- Extensive DOD and CLEAN experience in Hawaii and Guam.
- Project estimating experience, preferably environmental.
- Client and regulatory interaction experience.
- Excellent written and spoken communication (polished client presentations).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Field work and subcontractor oversight may be required.
