Job Details
Field Installation Manager oversees on-site product/system installations, ensuring projects meet deadlines, budget, and quality standards.
Installation Management:
- Supervise installation crews and contractors for timely, code-compliant installations.
- Partner with Activation & Delivery Teams for exceptional service.
- Develop and manage project schedules, allocating resources effectively.
- Monitor project progress, identifying and resolving delays.
- Conduct on-site surveys, document conditions, and provide recommendations.
- Create installation/assembly instructions.
- Lead teams from delivery to completion.
- Negotiate rates/costs and resolve disputes with subcontractors.
- Prepare installation estimates and support pricing negotiations.
- Facilitate internal/external training on installation processes.
Quality Control:
- Inspect installations for compliance with quality standards.
- Address quality issues, including corrective actions/rework.
- Perform quality checks on materials/equipment.
Logistics and Coordination:
- Oversee material delivery and handling at job sites.
- Coordinate with subcontractors/other trades.
- Ensure permits/approvals are secured.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Generate detailed installation reports.
- Maintain accurate records of labor hours, materials, and milestones.
Installer Network Management:
- Evaluate and grow installer database.
- Assess and provide feedback on installer performance.
General Duties:
- Perform additional assignments as needed.
- Uphold and promote safety goals.
- Willingness and ability to travel weekly, both domestically and internationally.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in construction/engineering or equivalent experience (minimum 3 years).
- Strong project management skills.
- Experience in white box construction or sign installation.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in project management, construction, and reporting software.
- High level of business acumen, confidence, motivation, and proactive energy.
- Ability to build strong working relationships.
- Effective leadership, communication, problem-solving, and team-building skills.
- Proven negotiating experience.
- Knowledge of equipment operation (personnel/equipment lifts).
- Rope certifications and ability to work at heights (a plus).
- Expertise with manual/laser measuring devices (Lidar experience advantageous).
- Familiarity with drones for surveys (a bonus).
- Hands-on experience with various installation tasks (painting, drywall, electrical, plumbing, furniture assembly, welding, metal cutting, concrete work, data wiring, etc.).
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, engineering drawings, and performing materials takeoffs.
- Physical ability to lift/maneuver up to 50 lbs.
