Contractor General Practitioner Physician (US Virgin Islands)

General Practitioner Physician works as part of a medical team.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluates patients brought in for evaluation.
• Liaises with medical staff for care continuity.
• Performs medical examinations to determine health status baseline.
• Examines patients for illnesses and injuries.
• Orders, performs, and interprets test results; analyzes records and reports.
• Provides follow-up care as needed.
• Collects, records, and maintains patient health information.
• Ensures accurate medical record maintenance.
• Provides referral recommendations to medical specialists when necessary.
• Coordinates healthcare plans.
• Provides clinical reports to the International SOS Facility Medical Director.
• Adheres to best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Supports the clinical excellence framework under Facility Medical Director's direction.
• Liaises with external agencies for care continuity and referrals.

Qualifications:

• Doctoral degree in Medicine or Osteopathy.
• Minimum of 1 year post-qualification experience.
• Licensed to practice in the area of work.
• MD/DO Board eligible or certified.
• BCLS and ACLS certification.
