Full-Time GIS Project Manager

Timmons Group is seeking an experienced GIS Project Manager to join our Geospatial Services team, working remotely. The successful candidate will organize projects, coordinate resources, manage budgets, and track logistics to deliver high-quality results for clients.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide project leadership and foster a collaborative team environment.
• Understand client needs and facilitate project creation, budget estimates, schedules, and deliverables.
• Demonstrate strong technical and analytical skills in a geospatial environment.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders.
• Develop, implement, and lead projects through the full cycle (proposal to delivery).
• Coordinate and travel to client locations for kickoff, progress, and deliverable meetings.
• Manage and coordinate GIS sub-consultant work.

Skills & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience in GIS or technical project management.
• Experience with software development projects.
• Experience working for a Department of Transportation (DOT) is a plus.
• Experience with geospatial technology (like Esri's Roads and Highways LRS software) is a plus.
• Technical project management experience (preferably in consulting/professional services).
• Demonstrated ability to apply Agile delivery principles.
• Effective communication with all levels of stakeholders (internal & external).
• Self-directed, organized, and prioritize workload to meet strict timelines.
• Experience preparing and delivering reports, recommendations, or alternatives.
